Designed for patients beginning herbal medicine as a standalone service.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive health history, Chinese medicine herbal evaluation, personalized treatment recommendations, and an individualized herbal prescription when clinically appropriate. This consultation establishes the foundation for your herbal treatment plan.
Herbal Medicine Treatment Options
• Supplemental Consultation & Evaluation
Approximately 45 minutes - $125 - $175
Available only to established Health x Wellness patients who are adding herbal medicine to an existing treatment plan.
VA Community Care: $125; Self-Pay: $175
This focused evaluation reviews your current health status and acupuncture treatment plan while developing an individualized herbal strategy that complements your ongoing care.
• Combined Consultation, Evaluation & Treatment
Approximately 150 minutes - $295
For patients beginning care with both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, this coordinated consultation combines both evaluations into a single visit, providing a more comprehensive assessment and an integrated treatment plan designed to address your health from multiple therapeutic perspectives.
After your initial herbal evaluation, your treatment plan will depend on your individual health needs.
Some patients require only a short course of herbs with periodic reassessment. Others benefit from ongoing clinical management as formulas are refined over time to reflect changes in symptoms, health status, and treatment goals.
Continuing Herbal Care
• Herbal Therapeutics Program
When ongoing management is recommended, patients may enroll in the Herbal Therapeutics Program, which provides a more structured and comprehensive approach to herbal care.
• Follow-Up Consultation & Evaluation
Approximately 30 minutes - $75 - $95.
Individual follow-up consultations are available when a focused reassessment or formula adjustment is clinically appropriate. These visits are best suited for patients who do not require ongoing clinical management through the Herbal Therapeutics Program.
